Imported Vehicle Inspection

PUSPAKOM has been appointed by the Royal Malaysian Customs to inspect imported vehicles at the country’s four main ports – Northport and Westport in Port Klang, Kota Kinabalu Port in Sabah and the Kuching Port in Sarawak.

Imported Vehicle Inspection for Customs (IVIC) covers all categories of imported vehicles, including new and secondhand, as well as private and commercial vehicles.

A detailed report will be produced within 48 hours and submitted to Customs. IVIC inspection points:

 • Engine number
 • Chassis number
 • Engine capacity
 • Year of make
 • Model and vehicle type

PUSPAKOM also offers B2 inspections, as required by the Road Transport Act 1987, at the port upon request.
